Crushed Rolls Don't Have to Be Wasted Rolls

The Mark I and Mark II Roll Savers re-open crushed rolls hydraulically - salvaging material that would otherwise be written off. ROI achieved on the first roll saved.

Every Crushed Roll Is Money Walking Out the Door. Until Now.

Crushed rolls happen. A forklift clip, a bad stack, a drop during handling -- and suddenly you've got a roll that won't feed and material that looks like a write-off.

Most operations absorb that cost because they don't have another option.

The Roll Saver gives you another option. Using hydraulic pressure up to 700 bar (10,150 psi), it re-opens crushed cores and restores rolls to usable condition -- without special training, without complicated setup, and without the time and cost of scrapping the material.

The return on investment is straightforward: the cost of the tool is comparable to the cost of a single damaged roll. The first roll you save pays for it.

Two models available -- Mark I for larger roll diameters up to 70 inches, Mark II for a lightweight portable option up to 45 inches in diameter.

Mark I & II Roll Saver

A Roll Saver is a hydraulic tool designed to re-open crushed rolls and restore them to usable condition. Insert the tool into the crushed core, apply hydraulic pressure, and the roll is salvaged -- in minutes, without special training, without writing off the material.

Two models available depending on roll diameter and portability requirements. Both deliver enough hydraulic pressure to re-open even severely crushed cores, and both pay for themselves on the first roll saved.

Mark I Roll Saver

The heavy-duty model for re-opening crushed rolls up to 1.8m (70 inches) in diameter. Delivers up to 700 bar (10,150 psi) of hydraulic pressure through an expanding pressure plate that reconditioning the crushed core from the inside out.

Standard configuration fits 70mm to 76mm (2-3/4" to 3") cores. Multi-core adapters available for 102mm (4"), 127mm (5"), and 152mm (6") ID cores -- extending capability to rolls up to 3.56m (140 inches) in diameter.

Optional sledge weight available for insertion assistance (20 lbs).

Specifications: Core ID 70mm to 76mm standard. Penetration 915mm (36"). Body weight 17kg (37 lbs). Weight with pump 26kg (57 lbs). Hydraulic pressure 700 bar (10,150 psi). Maximum roll diameter 1.8m (70").

Expansion approximately 1/4" above nominal core.

Mark II Roll Saver

The lightweight portable option. Under 20 pounds with pump, the Mark II goes where it's needed without requiring a dedicated operator or fixed location. Re-opens crushed rolls up to 1,025mm diameter and 902mm width (45" diameter, 36" width) with up to 621 bar (9,000 psi) of hydraulic pressure.

Right for operations that need portability and fast results across multiple locations on the floor.

Specifications: Core ID 70mm to 76mm standard. Penetration 250mm (10"). Weight with pump 9kg (19 lbs). Hydraulic pressure 621 bar (9,000 psi). Maximum roll diameter 1,025mm (45" diameter, 36" width).

Expansion approximately 1/4" above nominal core.

The Math Is Simple

A crushed roll written off costs the full value of the material. A Roll Saver costs roughly the same as a single damaged roll -- and then pays for itself on every salvage after that.

Operations running any volume of rolled stock will encounter crushed rolls. Having the right tool on the floor means those rolls get saved instead of scrapped. Over time, the cost difference is significant.

Durable construction. No special training required. Fast results. Q360 keeps both models and accessories in stock.
